Last night I performed at Cardiff's highest restaurant, on the dizzying 5th floor of the new Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan University building in the city. The top end restaurant there is called The Classroom and High Sheriff Heather Stevens CBE yesterday evening hosted an event in aid of the Samaritans and attended by the charity's UK chairwoman, the daughter of it's founder, and numerous other esteemed guests. The event clearly required some high quality live music executed with a rare and exquisite panache, but it ended up being me who got the call.
Amongst several compliments I received on the night came this from the event organiser, Cathie Brannigan,
"...thank you so much for bringing the wonderful tones of your classical guitar to create such a wonderful atmosphere for our guests yesterday evening. We were delighted that you were available to play for us and our guests really enjoyed hearing your repertoire."
Lovely stuff!
