The Champagne was out for Michael and Allison in Paris for the night from the USA, as he surprised her with a performance of a guitarist playing Pachelbel's canon as he dropped down to one knee at sunset. How could she resist! She didn't, thankfully for Michael, and for me, retaining my 100% 'Yes' rate!
A couple of days later the bridge was in the international news as a section of it fell into the river, weighed down with lovers locks. Here's hoping it wasn't theirs that tipped it over the edge!
